Currently, I am project assistant at the Automation Systems Group at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) where I am working on several projects related to the field of automation. Before that, I was junior scientist at the Institute of Integrated Sensor Systems (formerly referred to as Research Unit of Integrated Sensor Systems)  at the Austrian Academy of Science. Furthermore, I am lecturer at the University of Applied Science Campus Wien (FH Campus Wien) where I am holding miscellaneous courses for the Bachelor-degree program "Information Technologies and Telecommunication" and for the Diploma-degree program "IT Security".

I received my master's degree in Computer Science and Computer Management at the Vienna University of Technology in 2005 and 2008 respectively. In March 2010, I finished my PhD summa cum laude. My PhD dissertation is entitled "Secure Communication in Home and Building Automation Systems"

My main research interests are Automation Systems (especially in the field of Home and Building Automation), Security, Embedded Systems, HW/SW Codesign, and Distributed Systems.
